When I started Doom Alone, I hoped it would maybe be a way for me to get back into photography. An art that has been dead to be since I finished college and the whole digital revolution took over.
Honestly, it started with laziness, then I lost myself in the shuffle.
To be clear, I have always been turned off by people that start blogs and simply repost things that they find online, or even worst, other people blogs. It shows how unimaginative people have become, and these blogs are usually coming from so called “artists”, that pride themselves on their endeavors.
The idea of this site is for me to post pictures of things I see, am inspired by, or simply don’t want to forget from a particular moment in time. I am not an artist, I never claimed to be.
However, I still wanted to stick to my guns that I would only use pictures I would take myself. Or of me, taken by friends.
Then this happened.
I am midway through a 40 day medical study. Due to privacy concerns, no cameras (phones or computers) are allowed within these walls. So, here I am. Given the choice to not post anything, or sucumb to one of my greatest pet peeves (I have many).
I think you can see whatI have chosen. Not like anyone looks at this anyway.
PS I have changed some of the photos I have stolen, so there’s that.
